Parameter was founded by Oliver Dale, a technology entrepreneur with over 15 years experience online building profitable businesses. Oliver also founded the popular Fintech and Blockchain News site, Blockonomi and Personal Finance website MoneyCheck.

Editorial Policy

We create a lot of our own graphics and illustrations but where we use existing images our writers are required to obtain assets which are within the public domain and link to the source of any images used.

History of Parameter
Parameter started life as CSSBeauty, which was founded in 2004 as a Web Design News and Gallery website showcasing what could be achieved using CSS for building websites. The original mission statement was:
CSSBEAUTY™ a project focused on providing its audience with a database of well designed CSS based websites from around the world. Its purpose is to showcase designers’ work and to act as a small portal to the CSS design community. If you are “in need of inspiration”, you have come to the right place.
This was how the site used to look, we thought we would preserve it to see how the site has evolved.
In the 13 years that have passed since it’s inception it is no longer relevant to showcase CSS based websites as that is how the majority are built and we have moved on to an era of accessibility, beautiful design, content management systems, web apps and more.
The web is still an exciting place with many new techniques and technologies to learn and web design is as relevant as ever, therefore in 2017 CSSBeauty was pivoted into a blog covering Technology, Productivity, Web Development, Software, Web Apps and Tools.
We are excited about what the future holds for technology and we intend to document it along the way providing helpful and detailed content to help people learn and participate in these emerging fields.
