Users can now access these services directly through ChatGPT by connecting their accounts. The process requires mentioning the app name in prompts to activate the integration.
For Spotify users, ChatGPT can generate playlists, find songs, artists, albums, or podcast episodes through simple requests. The Spotify app appears within the chat interface to complete tasks.
Stock markets responded positively to the integration news. Figma shares jumped 7% on Monday and continued climbing with another 2% gain by early Tuesday.

The integration uses OpenAI’s new Apps SDK built on the Model Context Protocol. OpenAI plans to add DoorDash, Instacart, Uber, and AllTrails before year end.
Nick Turley, who leads the ChatGPT team, described the platform’s evolution. He said ChatGPT will transform from a useful app into something resembling an operating system within six months.
