Entertainment media brand Complex has joined forces with Fanatics Betting and Gaming to introduce Complex Bets, a standalone digital destination for sports wagering content. This venture will exist independently from Complex’s traditional editorial operations.
The new platform aims to merge cultural commentary, event prediction trading, and sports wagering insights. Its primary mission centers on connecting with younger demographic groups who engage with athletic entertainment through different channels than previous generations.
All wagering lines and market information displayed on Complex Bets will come directly from Fanatics Sportsbook and Fanatics Markets. Both organizations are developing native programming designed specifically for digital-first viewers.
Among the inaugural content offerings is a weekly extended-format program launching on YouTube. These episodes will bring in celebrity personalities to discuss current topics spanning competitive sports and interactive gaming.
Additionally, the collaboration will produce Complex On The Scene, a social media-focused program. This series will deploy content creators to major athletic competitions, including the FIFA World Cup and the forthcoming NBA Playoffs.
Moving Beyond Numbers Toward Lifestyle
This digital collaboration builds upon an existing relationship between Fanatics and Complex in the apparel sector. The brands previously partnered on limited-edition clothing collections showcasing National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball designs.
Their current venture targets a fundamental transformation in how audiences interact with wagering-related media. According to Fanatics, conventional betting platforms over-emphasize statistical breakdowns, player health updates, and algorithmic approaches.
Complex Bets will pivot toward narrative-driven content and fan community building. Instead of exclusively prioritizing game outcomes, the platform intends to amplify the organic discussions sports enthusiasts are already conducting.
Both partners envision sports wagering evolving beyond mere monetary activity. Their approach frames it as a cultural brand that integrates seamlessly with how contemporary audiences naturally discuss athletic competition.
Gaming Products Excluded While Prediction Trading Grows
Fanatics intentionally excluded its casino gaming offerings from the Complex Bets partnership. While Fanatics Sportsbook and Fanatics Markets have established operations across more than 25 states nationwide.
By contrast, the company’s virtual casino platform operates in just four jurisdictions. These markets include Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Currently, only seven American states maintain regulatory frameworks permitting online casino operations. Maine anticipates launching its marketplace before year’s end. Given this restricted geographic footprint, both partners opted to concentrate the platform on wagering products accessible to broader national audiences.
This content partnership emerges alongside Fanatics’ aggressive expansion into prediction trading markets. The National Futures Association recently granted Fanatics authorization to function as both a futures commission merchant and a registered swap firm.
This regulatory clearance enables Fanatics Markets to directly custody client deposits when participants trade event-based contracts. Before this approval, a third-party intermediary managed all customer balances and account operations.
Fanatics initially entered prediction trading in December 2025 through its purchase of Paragon Global Markets. This transaction positioned Fanatics as the inaugural traditional sportsbook operator launching a dedicated prediction marketplace for U.S. consumers.
