EHang Holdings Limited, EH
The company strengthened its position in global advanced air mobility through new product launches and regulatory advancements.
VT35 Launch and Intercity Expansion
EHang introduced the VT35, a next-generation pilotless eVTOL aircraft, designed for one-hour intercity travel. The model, which builds on the VT30, features a fully loaded range of 200 kilometers and supports seamless city-to-city operations. The aircraft’s compatibility with existing EH216-S vertiports enhances infrastructure efficiency across urban areas.
The company began type certification for the VT35 with China’s Civil Aviation Administration and completed multiple key flight tests. These included wind tunnel, transition, and power failure assessments that validated the model’s readiness for production. Moreover, the Hefei government pledged RMB 500 million in combined support, including purchases and industrial collaboration.
Production at EHang’s Hefei hub has started, with the first VT35 units delivered to customers in Anhui, Zhejiang, and Hainan. This marks the company’s entry into intercity air mobility and reflects its accelerating industrial partnerships. The project aims to expand EHang’s reach beyond city limits into regional air transport solutions.
Advancing EH216-S Commercial Readiness in China
EHang reported that two certified operators, Guangdong EHang General Aviation and Hefei Heyi Aviation, completed more than 1,700 safe operational flights. The company confirmed its readiness to launch commercial passenger services using the EH216-S in China soon. It also began internal testing of the EHang Trip ticketing system for online flight reservations.
The firm advanced its ground operating crew licensing program under the Civil Aviation Administration’s supervision. It submitted training and evaluation materials to prepare for the first certified operator group by early 2026. Furthermore, EHang aims to train a 100-member professional crew to support scaled flight operations.
EHang has recorded over 80,000 safe pilotless eVTOL flights to date. This milestone strengthens its operational credibility and positions it for commercial rollout within regulated markets. The company continues to build a strong safety and certification record ahead of full-scale deployment.
Global Expansion and Financial Performance
EHang made significant progress overseas, particularly with the Thailand AAM Sandbox Initiative in collaboration with the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand. The program allows pilotless eVTOL operations in controlled environments, marking a breakthrough for regulatory adoption. Additionally, the EH216-S completed trial and emergency demonstration flights in Bangkok and other Thai cities.
In the Middle East, the EH216-S conducted its first human-carrying pilotless flights in Doha, Qatar, showcasing its practical urban mobility use. The company also expanded operations across Japan, Kazakhstan, and Rwanda, further strengthening its international presence. These initiatives underscore EHang’s growing influence in the global eVTOL market.
Financially, EHang reported third-quarter revenue of RMB92.5 million, with a gross margin of 60.8%. However, lower sales volume led to a net loss of RMB82.1 million. Despite this, the company maintained RMB1.13 billion in cash reserves and reiterated confidence in meeting its full-year revenue target.
