The project will cover three campuses across Adivivaram, Tarluvada, and Rambilli villages, with operations aimed to start by July 2028, contingent on securing necessary state and federal approvals.

Three-Campus Project and Infrastructure Plans
The proposed cluster will occupy roughly 480 acres across the three locations, with 120 acres at Adivivaram, 200 acres at Tarluvada, and 160 acres at Rambilli–Achyutapuram.
Google plans to phase the construction, targeting first-phase completion within approximately two and a half years of receiving approvals.
To support the scale of operations, the project includes the installation of three high-capacity submarine cables with dedicated landing stations, extensive metro fibre lines, and other critical telecom infrastructure. These measures will ensure seamless connectivity for international cloud traffic and bolster India’s data-handling capacity.
Power Requirements Highlight Project Scale
Government filings attached to the proposal indicate that the combined electricity demand for the three campuses will reach approximately 2,091 MW—465 MW for Adivivaram, 929 MW for Tarluvada, and 697 MW for Rambilli.
Google plans to source power from local distribution companies, highlighting the significant coordination required with the regional grid, transmission networks, and power generation infrastructure.

Strategic Move for India’s AI Infrastructure
The Visakhapatnam cluster builds on a December 2024 memorandum of understanding between Google and the Andhra Pradesh government. Google executives are scheduled to finalize the investment details with Andhra Pradesh IT and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh in New Delhi on October 14, 2025. Approval from the Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board will be critical to move the project forward, positioning India as a preferred destination for global hyperscalers.
