Google reported a notable drop in malicious and policy-violating apps on its Play Store in 2025, signaling the growing effectiveness of its AI-powered security measures. The company blocked 1.8 million apps that failed to meet its policies, a decline from over 2.3 million in both 2023 and 2024.
This reduction points to the tech giant’s strategic shift toward leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning in app review processes. Developer Account Bans Decline
