Surrounding features included sculpted bears, moose and eagles to represent the region’s native wildlife, and the float appeared to glide through moving waves. The presentation incorporated salmon leaping in rhythmic motion to emphasize Holland America Line’s Alaska identity.
The float also promoted the company’s Global Fresh Fish Program, and the initiative supports rapid delivery of locally sourced Alaskan seafood. This program brings fresh fish from port to plate within 48 hours, and it highlights the brand’s focus on regional authenticity. The line holds Certified Seafood International certification through its partnership with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute.
Parade Appearance Links to Upcoming Alaska Milestones
Holland America Line highlighted its connection to Alaska through the Parade, and the participation aligned with its long history in the region. The company will mark 80 years of Alaska exploration in 2027, and it continues to expand its footprint across key summer seasons. The brand will enter its 79th Alaska season in 2026 with a comprehensive schedule.
The upcoming season will feature six ships sailing from April through September, and itineraries will range from seven to 28 days. Routes include roundtrip departures from Seattle and Vancouver, and they also include voyages between Vancouver and Whittier. Moreover, the schedule will feature the established 7-Day Alaska Explorer cruise, which includes Glacier Bay National Park.
