Rackspace Technology (RXT) and Palantir Technologies (PLTR) have announced a strategic partnership to help enterprises deploy and operate Palantir’s Foundry and Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) at scale.
Rackspace Technology, Inc., RXT
The deal was announced February 18, 2026, and targets one of the biggest pain points in enterprise AI: getting from pilot to production without falling flat.
Most organizations want AI that actually works in the real world, not just in a boardroom demo. The partnership is designed to close that gap, combining Rackspace’s cloud infrastructure and managed services with Palantir’s operational AI stack.
Under the agreement, Rackspace will provide end-to-end support — covering data migration, implementation, cloud hosting, and ongoing managed operations — all within a governed operating model built around security and compliance.
Faster Deployments for Regulated Industries
One of the headline claims from the partnership is speed. Rackspace says its model can help customers go live with Palantir AI use cases in weeks or months, compared to the months or years it typically takes without dedicated implementation support.
The two companies are also working together to run Palantir software inside Rackspace’s Private Cloud and UK Sovereign data centers. That’s a key detail for regulated industries like financial services, healthcare, and government, where data sovereignty and compliance requirements are non-negotiable.
Rackspace CEO Gajen Kandiah said the partnership is built around AI “that works in production, not just in demos,” pointing to the governed cloud operations model as a differentiator.
Palantir’s Head of US Commercial, Sameer Kirtane, added that AIP is already compressing data migration timelines from years to days, and called out Rackspace’s role in accelerating customer adoption.
Engineer Headcount Growing Fast
Rackspace currently has 30 Palantir-trained engineers in place and says it is on track to scale that number past 250 within the next 12 months.
That ramp-up signals a serious commitment on Rackspace’s side, and gives the partnership operational teeth beyond a press release.
The integrated service model is designed to remove the need for customers to manage infrastructure, data pipelines, and AI operations separately — a common bottleneck for enterprises trying to scale AI internally.
Rackspace brings 25 years of experience managing enterprise workloads across hybrid cloud environments to the table.
