Tron DAO has become an official member of the Agentic AI Foundation, an organization managed by the Linux Foundation dedicated to advancing open-source artificial intelligence and establishing industry-wide standards.
The membership was revealed on Monday, with Tron DAO earning a seat on the AAIF’s governing board where it joins established participants [[LINK_START_0]]Circle[[LINK_END_0]] and JPMorgan.
The organization was created to develop standardized frameworks for governance, security protocols, and interoperability concerning agentic AI systems—autonomous AI agents capable of independent decision-making and action execution.
According to Tron DAO, the expanding landscape of agentic AI will create substantial demand for infrastructure capable of processing continuous streams of high-volume, low-value transactions efficiently.
“Interoperable frameworks are expected to play an important role in ensuring that AI agents can operate across platforms and services without creating fragmented ecosystems,” the DAO said in its statement.
This strategic direction aligns with statements from Tron’s creator Justin Sun, who indicated last month that artificial intelligence would serve as a primary focus area for the blockchain throughout 2026.
Sun has emphasized Tron’s technical capabilities—including transaction speed, network scalability, and minimal fees—as competitive advantages for supporting AI agent operations.
Building AI-Focused Infrastructure
A practical demonstration of this strategy is the Bank of AI, a specialized financial layer developed by AINFT specifically for AI agent transactions. The platform became operational on both Tron and BNB Chain during February 2025.
Stripe executives Patrick Collison and John Collison also addressed this topic recently, highlighting a significant infrastructure deficit in blockchain technology that must be resolved to accommodate growing AI-related demand.
Through its AAIF participation, Tron DAO aims to contribute toward developing open infrastructure that makes AI agents “easier to build, safer to operate, and more accessible.”
Leading Blockchain Revenue Performance
According to current DeFiLlama metrics, Tron maintains the top position among all blockchains for revenue generation. The network produced $1.01 million in the last 24 hours, $6.54 million over the previous week, and $25.58 million during the past month.
Sun has attributed a portion of this revenue growth to AI-related activity occurring on the platform.
“AI is scaling fast. When agents transact, demand shows up in the network metrics. TRON keeps leading on real usage,” Sun said earlier this month.
Tron DAO stated its commitment to contributing toward collaborative standard development through the foundation.
The AAIF functions as a Linux Foundation initiative designed to promote open-source agentic AI development while facilitating interoperability between various platforms and services.
With this membership, Tron now holds a position alongside two prominent financial and cryptocurrency infrastructure organizations, Circle and JPMorgan, in influencing the evolution of agentic AI industry standards.
