On Friday, XRP is changing hands near $1.009, successfully stabilizing at the $1.00 threshold following its lowest daily settlement since November 2024. The digital asset has experienced approximately a 69% drawdown from its January 2025 zenith of roughly $3.30.

Even as prices have retreated, substantial investors continue accumulating. Blockchain data specialist Ali Martinez disclosed that major holders acquired over 72 million XRP tokens during a single 24-hour timeframe. Martinez highlighted this buying activity, questioning whether these significant stakeholders are establishing positions in anticipation of an upcoming price surge.
This accumulation pattern extends beyond a single day’s activity. Analytics from Santiment indicate that addresses containing at least 1 million XRP expanded by 32 throughout the previous three months, elevating the total count to approximately 2,033. During the seven-day period concluding August 9, these addresses increased their holdings by more than 380 million XRP, driving their aggregate balances beyond 8 billion XRPāvalued at roughly $8.2 billion based on present market rates.
Investment Funds Continue Attracting Capital
Professional investor participation remains consistent. According to SoSoValue tracking, spot-based XRP exchange-traded products gathered $2.25 million in net capital through Thursday during the current week. Should Friday conclude with additional positive flows, this would represent the fifth straight week of net inflows for XRP-focused investment vehicles.

Approximately 81% of XRP tokens withdrawn from Binance were transferred to private custody solutions, indicating that certain investors are relocating assets away from trading platforms for extended holding periods.
Blockchain engagement metrics have also strengthened. The average count of daily active addresses climbed to around 35,700 during August, representing an increase from July’s 26,400. August 11 registered the highest activity level since June 5. Meanwhile, new address generation held steady at approximately 2,260 per day, signaling that heightened activity stems from existing participants rather than fresh market entrants.
Critical Support and Resistance Zones
XRP’s realized priceārepresenting the average acquisition cost across all tokensācurrently stands around $0.75, positioned below the present market valuation of $1.01. This indicates XRP has not yet descended to the severely discounted territory observed during prior market cycle bottoms.
From a technical perspective, XRP trades beneath its 50-day exponential moving average at $1.087, its 100-day EMA at $1.169, and its 200-day EMA at $1.362. The Relative Strength Index registers at 36, positioned below the neutral 50 threshold, while the MACD indicator maintains negative momentum.
Digital asset analyst Diana pinpoints $0.87 as the subsequent critical support level, with the $0.77ā$0.80 range representing a more substantial decision zone. On the resistance side, $1.06 presents a near-term obstacle, with approximately 3 billion XRP tokens approaching break-even status at that price point.
Should current support levels maintain, Diana’s projected upside targets span from $1.46 to a range of $3.56ā$3.66, approaching the token’s prior record high.
