Shares of [[LINK_START_1]]Rumble Group (RUM)[[LINK_END_1]] climbed approximately 20% in overnight trading following The Information’s disclosure that Anthropic serves as the mystery AI partner in its six-year, $13.7 billion computing services contract. The stock opened with significant gains Monday morning before retreating somewhat as shareholders expressed concern over potential equity dilution.
As of Monday’s session, the company commanded a market capitalization of approximately $3.55 billion. The move represented a potential reversal of a five-day decline that had weighed on shares before the partnership disclosure emerged.
RUM’s entry into AI infrastructure came through its June acquisition of German cloud computing firm Northern Data, an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $767 million. The acquisition delivered roughly 22,000 Nvidia Hopper GPUs to the company’s portfolio, with operations consolidated under the newly branded Quake AI division.
The computing capacity designated for Anthropic will originate from a Maysville, Georgia facility currently in development. The location presently supports 120 megawatts of electrical capacity, with future expansion targeting 180 MW.
The partnership structure grants Anthropic rights to acquire up to 51 million RUM shares at a nominal $0.01 price point. Market participants have been analyzing this equity provision to gauge the arrangement’s strategic value for both organizations.
Quake AI Powers Revenue Expansion
RUM CEO Christopher Pavlovski has publicly emphasized his vision for Quake AI’s growth trajectory. The division currently maintains utilization rates above 85%, with Pavlovski projecting that 250 MW of operational capacity could drive annual revenues exceeding $3 billion.
Recent financial performance has lent credibility to these forecasts. The company delivered record quarterly revenue of $40.4 million in its latest report, representing 61% year-over-year growth and significantly exceeding Wall Street’s consensus estimate of $30.66 million.
While Rumble’s video platform—favored by conservative content creators and hosting President Donald Trump’s Truth Social—reported 57 million monthly active users in Q2, investor attention has increasingly shifted toward Quake AI’s infrastructure potential.
Equity Dilution Concerns Dampen Momentum
The stock’s advance proved short-lived as investors digested RUM’s strategy to complete its Northern Data acquisition using additional share issuance, sparking worries about ownership dilution among current shareholders.
The pullback also reflected broader weakness in Trump-associated investment plays and profit-taking following RUM’s substantial August gains.
The company continues to report negative earnings and consume cash as it builds out capital-intensive AI infrastructure. Construction delays or softer customer demand from Anthropic or other clients could strain financial resources.
RUM has delivered approximately 13.45% year-to-date returns, with average daily volume reaching roughly 3.54 million shares. Technical indicators currently suggest a Hold rating for the stock.
