Archer Aviation shares posted a 3.23% gain Monday, settling at $5.43 after touching an intraday peak of $5.51. Trading activity registered approximately 22 million shares, about 40% lighter than typical daily volumes.
The advance aligned with a widespread upturn across growth-oriented and tech equities. The Nasdaq 100 surged 2.83% while the S&P 500 posted a 1.5% increase. Declining crude oil prices coupled with retreating Treasury yields seemed to encourage investors toward riskier asset classes.
Competitor Joby Aviation registered a 4.82% gain during the same session, indicating the electric vertical takeoff and landing sector moved in tandem rather than responding to company-specific catalysts for Archer.
Following a 2.59% pullback on Friday, Monday’s rally recouped a significant portion of those losses. Year-to-date, the stock continues to trade down approximately 28%.
