Oracle will run the campaign across television, radio, online platforms, and social media. The company will release the message in English and Spanish. Moreover, the campaign will continue for several months across New Mexico.
The campaign focuses on jobs, water plans, energy systems, and community funding. Oracle says Project Jupiter will bring major economic support to Doña Ana County. The company wants residents to review project details through its official information website.
Project Jupiter marks a major data center plan tied to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The project will support growing demand for cloud services and digital infrastructure. However, Oracle has placed local benefits at the center of its public message.
Data Center Plan Highlights Jobs And Local Funding
Oracle expects Project Jupiter to create more than 4,000 construction jobs. The company also expects 1,500 ongoing project-supported jobs after construction ends. Consequently, the project could become a major employment source in the county.
Oracle estimates $384 million in annual economic impact during construction. The company also expects $113 million in annual impact once operations begin. These figures form a key part of the campaign’s economic message.
The project includes $360 million for schools, infrastructure, and local services. Oracle has also committed $6.9 million for workforce development and local programs. In addition, the funding includes support for habitat restoration and the Boys and Girls Club of Las Cruces.
Water And Energy Plans Shape Oracle Campaign
Oracle says Project Jupiter has committed $50 million to improve local water systems. The company also says the campus will limit water use on site. Therefore, the campaign gives water planning a central role in its message.
The updated power plan uses Bloom Energy fuel cells for cleaner and reliable energy. Oracle also plans to cover all energy costs linked to the project. As a result, the company says residential electricity rates should face no project-related impact.
Oracle says the data center and cooling systems will avoid public drinking-water supplies. The systems will use a one-time startup fill of non-potable water. After that, average maintenance use should equal the yearly use of two U.S. households.
