Sanofi has introduced an artificial intelligence assistant aimed at streamlining how its worldwide sales representatives prepare for meetings with healthcare providers. Dubbed “Concierge for Field,” the solution made its debut at Snowflake Summit 26 on June 2, 2026.
Shares of Snowflake (SNOW) tumbled 8.48% during the trading session, while Sanofi’s American Depositary Receipt (SASY) declined 0.97%.
Developed using Snowflake Cortex AI technology, the platform allows sales professionals to request comprehensive pre-call strategies through natural language interaction, receiving results almost instantaneously.
Each generated strategy identifies the most important physician target according to medical specialty and prescription patterns, summarizes previous interactions, and delivers a finalized action plan straight to the representative’s email.
According to Sanofi, what previously demanded hours of tedious manual investigation can now be accomplished through a simple conversational interface.
This capability represents one component of Sanofi’s comprehensive strategy to integrate AI throughout its global operations. The pharmaceutical company has consolidated its data infrastructure on Snowflake’s cloud platform and is implementing AI agents throughout drug discovery, supply chain management, information technology, workforce management, and commercial operations.
Elementum, a specialist in AI workflow solutions, plays a key role in this deployment. The company creates applications that operate natively within Snowflake’s environment, effectively replacing what it characterizes as outdated enterprise software systems.
Transitioning from Static Reports to Intelligent Automation
Emmanuel Frenehard, Sanofi’s Chief Digital Officer, explained that the organization invested years constructing data pipelines simply to gain access to its own information. The current architecture aims to eliminate that inefficiency.
“We are developing AI capabilities directly integrated with our data ecosystem and transforming operational processes across the entire organization, from research and development through production to market engagement,” Frenehard stated. “This positions Sanofi as the pioneering biopharmaceutical company operating with AI at enterprise scale.”
The identical Snowflake infrastructure powering the commercial sales assistant also enables Sanofi’s scientific researchers. They leverage it to analyze real-world clinical information at unprecedented scale, which the company claims significantly accelerates pharmaceutical development timelines.
Sridhar Ramaswamy, Snowflake’s Chief Executive Officer, characterized the collaboration as demonstrating the advantages of constructing AI capabilities directly on consolidated enterprise data rather than attempting to integrate them with disconnected legacy infrastructure.
Snowflake Deploys Specialized Engineering Resources Within Sanofi
Snowflake’s Forward Deployed Engineers — a specialized team comprising AI specialists, data scientists, and domain experts — are collaborating directly alongside Sanofi’s technical and data engineering personnel to expand these AI capabilities.
This partnership model ensures AI-driven workflows operate within a unified, properly governed data environment instead of being distributed across numerous external platforms.
Sanofi’s strategic direction reflects broader pharmaceutical industry trends as companies seek methods to accelerate both commercial execution and drug discovery pipelines through AI-first technology foundations.
The “Concierge for Field” assistant represents the most prominent demonstration of this approach currently, with additional AI implementations scheduled for deployment throughout the organization.
