Key Highlights
- Solana surged past the $110 threshold, overcoming a resistance barrier that had held firm for multiple weeks.
- Chart analysis identifies $133 as the subsequent critical resistance zone should the upward momentum persist.
- Cryptocurrency analyst Ash Crypto noted that SOL has successfully regained its 200-day weekly moving average and touched $120, marking its highest point in eight months.
- Immediate support zones are positioned around $111.06 and $107.40, with a break below $107.40 potentially undermining the bullish structure.
- The Alpenglow network enhancement has progressed to public testnet phase, aiming to achieve transaction finality in approximately 150 milliseconds.
Solana has successfully breached the $110 price point following weeks of consolidation beneath this critical threshold, bolstering its bullish technical framework. During this upward movement, SOL touched $120, representing its strongest performance in approximately eight months.

Chart examination now identifies $133 as the subsequent significant resistance barrier. Reaching this objective depends partially on Bitcoin maintaining its recovery trajectory while SOL preserves its newly established support foundations.
Solana has additionally demonstrated superior performance against Bitcoin recently. According to technical analysis, the SOL/BTC pairing still exhibits potential upside before encountering its next resistance threshold.
$133 Price Target Emerges Following Resistance Breakthrough
The closest near-term support level rests approximately at $111.06, with $107.40 representing the broader support zone under observation. Maintaining prices above $107.40 would preserve the current bullish configuration.
A descent beneath this threshold would signal the initial warning that the recent rally may have established a temporary peak. Market participants are also monitoring for SOL to form a higher low before confirming this movement as a definitive trend reversal.
Cryptocurrency analyst Ash Crypto stated on X that SOL currently displays one of the most robust technical formations among alternative cryptocurrencies. He emphasized SOL’s recapture of its 200-day weekly moving average, its ascent to $120 for the first time in eight months, and the formation of a weekly golden cross pattern.
Ash Crypto suggested these technical indicators could signal that Solana has already established its cyclical bottom. His analysis concentrated on weekly timeframe patterns rather than projecting specific short-term price objectives.
The $133 zone remains the primary upside target identified through near-term technical evaluation. A sustained advance toward this level would extend the recovery that initiated following SOL’s clearance of the $110 resistance.
Alpenglow Enhancement Advances to Public Testing Environment
Solana is currently evaluating a significant network enhancement dubbed Alpenglow, engineered to reduce transaction finality from approximately 12.8 seconds down to roughly 150 milliseconds. Finality represents the stage at which a blockchain transaction becomes permanently settled and irreversible.
Alpenglow substitutes Solana’s current TowerBFT consensus mechanism with an innovative voting protocol designated as Votor. This allows validators to finalize blocks following just one or two voting cycles instead of processing through an extended series of on-chain validation rounds.
The enhancement has already completed over four months of operation on a smaller dedicated testing network. It is now transitioning to Solana’s established public testnet environment for more comprehensive evaluation.
Validators participating in this testing phase require Agave 4.3, the primary client software utilized for operating Solana nodes. Anza issued recommendations for all mainnet validators to adopt this version on September 21.
Firedancer and Frankendancer clients do not currently provide support for Alpenglow testing. Consequently, the initial testnet migration will operate exclusively on the Agave client.
Anza’s development roadmap indicates September 28 as a provisional target for activating Agave 4.3 capabilities on the mainnet. This date does not represent a confirmed timeline for Alpenglow’s mainnet deployment, as the upgrade continues undergoing testing procedures.
