Key Highlights
- The platform recorded $71.1 billion in 30-day swap volume, surpassing the combined totals of the next three largest decentralized exchanges
- Version 4 of the protocol drives approximately $38B in monthly activity, while v3 contributes around $32B
- The platform earned $28.2 million in fees from January to July 2026
- The UNI token was changing hands around $6.21, experiencing a roughly 2% decline in the most recent trading period
- Supply reduction efforts through Firepit and TokenJar mechanisms are active, though the impact remains limited relative to 623 million tokens in circulation
The leading decentralized exchange has registered $71.1 billion in swap activity during the previous 30 days, securing its position atop all competing protocols monitored by DeFiLlama. According to the platform’s announcement, this figure represents more than what the subsequent three largest DEXs achieved collectively.
During the most recent seven-day window, the exchange facilitated transactions worth over $21.3 billion. Within a 24-hour span, swap volume approached the $2 billion threshold.
The nearest competitor, PancakeSwap, recorded $29.8 billion throughout the identical monthly timeframe. This creates a differential exceeding $41 billion separating the two platforms.
The fourth iteration of the protocol is responsible for approximately $38 billion of the aggregate monthly volume. The third version delivers close to $32 billion, while the second version contributes an additional $1.2 billion.
Multi-Chain Deployment Drives Activity Distribution
The protocol maintains active deployments spanning over 40 different blockchain networks. While Ethereum commands the highest concentration of total value locked, networks including Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Robinhood Chain each play significant roles in the aggregate performance metrics.
On September 13, Robinhood Chain registered approximately $1.35 billion in aggregate DEX transaction volume within a 24-hour measurement window. The Uniswap protocol represented roughly $262 million of that single-day total.
Market observer Yasuhiro highlighted that $UNI appears to be penetrating an extended descending resistance line on daily timeframes while maintaining position above ascending support levels. His analysis identified a preferred entry range between $4.40 and $4.80, projecting potential upside objectives of $10.80 and $15.70, maintaining constructive positioning provided the pattern of higher lows remains intact.
Protocol Economics and Supply Reduction Initiatives
Between January and July 2026, the platform collected $28.2 million in protocol-level income derived from $297.9 million in total swap fees, based on Token Terminal’s tracking. The highest monthly collection occurred in June at $5.3 million.
As of early August, aggregate income since the fee switch activation had climbed to $29.8 million. Governance Proposal 100 extended fee collection to version 4 liquidity pools across seven blockchain networks in July, boosting projected daily protocol earnings from approximately $114,000 to $325,000.
Collected fees accumulate within TokenJar smart contracts. Market participants can eliminate UNI tokens via the Firepit mechanism to access these fees, establishing a direct connection between trading volume and circulating supply contraction. An additional 100 million token treasury burn has further decreased overall supply.
Current circulating supply stands at approximately 623 million UNI tokens, supporting a market capitalization near $3.85 billion. The present burn velocity remains modest when measured against total available supply.

On September 13, UNI was priced around $6.21, representing approximately a 2% decrease from the previous session’s closing level, with intraday movement occurring within a range of roughly $6.17 to $6.55.
