Shares of Gaxos.ai $GXAI finished Wednesday’s regular trading session at $0.87, sliding 1.69%, before skyrocketing 66.57% to $1.45 during extended hours following the release of second-quarter financial results.
The quarterly performance delivered substantial surprises across key metrics. Top-line revenue reached an unprecedented $2.46 million, crushing Wall Street’s consensus forecast of $1.75 million by a remarkable 40.4%. The figure represents a 35.8% sequential improvement from the first quarter and an explosive 1,337% surge compared to the $0.17 million generated in the year-ago period.
Profitability metrics exceeded expectations even more dramatically. The company reported GAAP net income of $241,056, translating to $0.02 per diluted share. This marked a sharp contrast to analyst projections calling for a loss of $0.15 per share, representing a positive variance of 113.3%.
Chief Executive Officer Vadim Mats attributed the strong performance to the “scalability of our operating platforms” combined with a methodical strategy toward expansion and efficient capital deployment.
Marketing ROI Shows Significant Gains
Among the most encouraging developments in the quarterly report was the company’s improving marketing return on investment. While advertising and promotional expenditures increased a modest 13.5% during Q2, revenue acceleration of 35.8% created a widening gap that signals enhanced operational leverage.
The revenue generated for each dollar invested in advertising improved approximately 20%, advancing from $0.65 during the first quarter to $0.78 in the second quarter. Simultaneously, advertising expenditure as a fraction of total revenue decreased from roughly 153% in Q1 to 128% in Q2.
Mats explained that the organization is “concentrating spending on customer segments, marketing channels and products demonstrating the strongest retention and contribution economics.”
Divestiture of Gaming Portfolio
Throughout the second quarter, Gaxos finalized the divestiture of nearly all gaming-related assets, encompassing its mobile gaming portfolio and Gaxos Gaming Labs division, to Game Foundry AI. The transaction resulted in Gaxos obtaining 2.2 million shares of Game Foundry AI common stock, assigned a transaction value of approximately $1.76 million.
The reported GAAP net income for the three-month period was predominantly attributable to gains recognized from this strategic asset sale.
Additionally, Gaxos maintains a 19.99% equity stake in America First Defense.AI LLC, a company operating in the defense technology sector.
Liquid assets including cash and short-term investments totaled approximately $11.44 million as of June 30, 2026, representing a modest decline from the $11.71 million balance reported at the conclusion of the first quarter.
Looking toward the remainder of 2026, management indicated priorities centered on expanding recurring revenue streams, optimizing customer acquisition cost efficiency, and scaling product offerings that demonstrate favorable unit economics.
As of August 12, 2026, the company reported 10,744,634 shares of common stock outstanding. GXAI maintains a market capitalization of approximately $9.31 million with a Relative Strength Index of 39.25 entering the after-hours trading session.
During the trailing 52-week period, shares have fluctuated within a range of $0.73 to $2.96. Before Wednesday’s extended-hours surge, the stock was trading near its annual low.
