The Injective token experienced an approximate 9% price increase, reaching $4.40, following the announcement that Injective Institutional Services successfully obtained registration with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission as an official transfer agent.

Transfer agents serve a crucial function in financial markets by maintaining authoritative ownership records for securities and processing updates to those records. The SEC permits registered transfer agents to utilize distributed ledger technology as their primary master securityholder file. This regulatory framework enables ownership records to be stored and managed directly on blockchain networks.
This development represents a significant advancement for tokenized securities. Traditionally, blockchain platforms record ownership onchain while the legally recognized record remains in conventional databases. This separation often creates reconciliation challenges between blockchain-based transactions and traditional legacy infrastructure.
Injective’s new registration status specifically addresses this infrastructure divide. The platform can now maintain official securities records directly on its blockchain framework, effectively bridging these two previously separate systems.
Compliant Infrastructure for Digital Securities
This registration functions in conjunction with Injective Mint, a platform enabling issuers to create and oversee assets with integrated protocol-level compliance mechanisms. The system includes transfer limitations based on holder profiles and jurisdictions, role-based administrative controls, wallet address freezing capabilities, and regulated minting and redemption processes.
Injective brings established experience to this sector. The network has previously facilitated tokenized institutional investment funds, publicly-traded equities, private company securities markets, and corporate receivables. Previous initiatives have included collaborations with Nomura’s Laser Digital division, BlackRock, and Hamilton Lane.
Compliance Efforts Expand Across European Markets
The regulatory approval extends beyond United States borders. Injective’s INJ MiCA white paper has been added to ESMA’s Interim MiCA Register following successful completion of the mandatory notification and publication procedures in Europe.
According to the organization, both the US transfer agent registration and European MiCA compliance initiatives form components of a comprehensive strategy to integrate onchain financial infrastructure with the regulatory structures necessary for widespread institutional adoption.
This announcement emerged during a particularly active period for US cryptocurrency regulation. President Donald Trump has a scheduled meeting with representatives from the SEC, CFTC, and major crypto companies including Ripple and Coinbase as the CLARITY Act encounters procedural delays. Additionally, the SEC published a new regulatory framework addressing crypto investment contracts this week.
With this achievement, Injective enters an exclusive group of US-based cryptocurrency organizations operating with registered transfer agent capabilities.
