Lucyd, Inc. (LUCY) shares rose 5.16% to $1.1250 after the company announced a new Claude AI integration. The update will launch next week across every Lucyd smart glasses model. The stock recovered from early volatility and remained above $1.10 during afternoon trading.
Lucyd Adds Claude Access Across Its Smart Glasses
Innovative Eyewear developed the integration to expand the available software features within its Lucyd smart eyewear range. Customers will access Claude through the Lucyd mobile application without paying an additional fee. The launch covers products sold under Lucyd, Reebok, Eddie Bauer, Nautica and Lucyd Armor.
Users must open the Lucyd application before selecting their preferred Claude model. They can then communicate through the audio controls built into their glasses. Therefore, the first release still requires direct access to a connected smartphone.
The company plans another update during late third-quarter 2026. That version will allow users to access Claude while keeping their phones locked and stored. Lucyd already supports a similar hands-free voice feature for ChatGPT interactions.
New Application Combines Several AI Functions
The updated application places ChatGPT and Claude models within one interface. Users can switch between available models while keeping the existing conversation context. As a result, the software supports different tasks without requiring separate applications.
The platform also accepts uploaded images and PDF documents for analysis. Users can ask questions about those files and receive responses through the application. In addition, the software can generate images and save them directly to a connected phone.
Lucyd also added real-time response streaming, conversation history, and formatted content support. The application can display tables, mathematical formulas, structured text, and highlighted computer code. Moreover, web-based responses will include sources that users can review.
Privacy Features Support Wider Everyday Use
The application includes an incognito setting for temporary conversations. Lucyd said the system removes those sessions after users leave the private mode. Standard conversations remain available through a history section organized by date.
These features support Lucyd’s effort to position its eyewear as a voice-controlled access point for digital services. The company combines microphones, speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, and mobile software within lightweight frames. It also works with established fashion brands to offer several frame designs.
Innovative Eyewear operates in the growing smart glasses market through consumer and protective eyewear products. The company trades on Nasdaq under the LUCY symbol, while its warrants trade under LUCYW.
Lucyd Expands Its Multi-Model Software Strategy
The Claude integration strengthens Lucyd’s plan to support several language models through one wearable interface. The company has also filed a patent application covering multi-model access through smart glasses. The planned features still depend on the Lucyd application and connected mobile devices.
Management expects voice commands to provide simpler access to several models in future releases. The approach could reduce the need to handle a phone during basic information searches. It could also support document reviews, general questions, content creation, and other daily tasks.
Lucyd will release the first Claude integration next week for existing glasses. The company has not announced a separate subscription or hardware requirement for the service.
