Toyota Motor Corporation gained 0.75% to $169.68 as strong U.S. sales supported market interest. Toyota Motor North America reported higher June deliveries, led by firm demand for electrified vehicles. The results showed steady momentum across Toyota and Lexus, despite mixed quarterly performance between the two brands.
Toyota U.S. Sales Rise as Electrified Demand Strengthens
Toyota Motor North America sold 212,793 vehicles in June 2026, up 10.1% on a volume basis. The company also posted a 5.7% gain on a daily selling rate basis. The June report showed broad improvement from the same month last year.
Electrified vehicle sales reached 122,063 units in June, up 35.0% on a volume basis. They also increased 29.6% on a daily selling rate basis. Electrified models represented 57.4% of total June sales.
For the second quarter, TMNA sold 673,971 vehicles, up 1.1% from last year. Electrified vehicle sales reached 383,091 units during the quarter, up 19.5%. Electrified models accounted for 56.8% of total second-quarter volume.
Toyota Division Leads Growth Across Core Lineup
Toyota division reported June sales of 183,627 vehicles, up 11.2% on a volume basis. The division also grew 6.8% on a daily selling rate basis. This performance helped offset weaker quarterly results from the Lexus division.
For the second quarter, Toyota division sold 585,211 vehicles, up 2.6% from a year earlier. Electrified vehicle sales reached 345,791 units during the quarter, up 21.1%. Toyota’s electrification mix reached an all-time best of 61.4%.
The RAV4 Hybrid also achieved an all-time best result, strengthening Toyota’s hybrid-led sales base. Toyota continued to benefit from broad model availability and lower incentives among full-line manufacturers.The company said Toyota and Lexus dealers now offer 33 electrified vehicles.
Lexus Posts Record June but Quarterly Sales Decline
Lexus reported June sales of 29,166 vehicles, up 3.9% on a volume basis. Sales fell 0.3% on a daily selling rate basis. Even so, Lexus achieved its best-ever June performance.
For the second quarter, Lexus sold 88,760 vehicles, down 7.5% from the prior year. Its electrified vehicle sales reached 37,300 units, up 6.5%.Electrified demand remained positive even as total Lexus quarterly volume declined.
In June, Lexus electrified vehicle sales reached 11,436 units, up 11.7% year over year. Toyota said demand remained supported by disciplined inventory management and wider electrified options. The latest report added context to TM’s stock move as electrification continued to drive U.S. sales momentum.
