World Liberty Financial, the cryptocurrency project backed by the Trump family, has established a collaboration with WorldClaw, a Hong Kong-based artificial intelligence aggregator that provides users with access to AI models developed by Chinese companies currently under U.S. national security sanctions.
Through its WorldRouter platform, WorldClaw makes available approximately 90 different AI models to users. Of these, 43 models originate from Chinese technology developers such as Alibaba, Baidu, and Z.ai. The service also integrates models from American companies including OpenAI and Anthropic.
The platform has integrated World Liberty’s USD1 stablecoin as an accepted payment method. The Trump family controls a 38% ownership interest in World Liberty Financial and generates revenue from its cryptocurrency token operations, including receiving a portion of interest generated from USD1’s backing assets.
Chinese Technology Firms Facing U.S. Restrictions
The U.S. Department of Defense has classified Alibaba and Baidu as entities with Chinese military connections, prohibiting American defense contractors from engaging in business relationships with them. Z.ai appears on the Commerce Department’s Entity List, which dramatically restricts its ability to obtain U.S. technology or partner with American companies.
Additional models available on WorldClaw come from DeepSeek and Moonshot, two companies that American government officials have alleged engaged in intellectual property theft from U.S.-based AI companies. The Chinese government has rejected these allegations.
However, accessing and utilizing these AI models remains legally permissible for American individuals and enterprises in most circumstances. The primary restrictions target direct commercial partnerships with entities appearing on U.S. government restriction lists.
Ryan Fang, who leads growth initiatives at World Liberty, also serves in an advisory capacity to WorldClaw. His advisory function reportedly centers on expanding USD1 stablecoin adoption and developing strategic partnerships.
Trump Family’s Involvement With WorldClaw
Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, who serve as co-founders of World Liberty, have actively championed WorldClaw through posts on the social media platform X. Trump Jr. announced that WorldClaw competition winners would receive exclusive meetings at Mar-a-Lago, while Eric Trump characterized the partnership as representing “the future of finance.”
According to reporting by Reuters in June, the Trump family has generated over $1.4 billion from World Liberty token distributions, representing the majority of $2.3 billion in cumulative cryptocurrency-related earnings.
WorldClaw representatives have emphasized that the platform functions autonomously from World Liberty. A company spokesperson clarified that providing access to a particular model does not constitute an endorsement of that model’s developer.
David Wachsman, speaking on behalf of World Liberty, noted that prominent American technology corporations similarly provide access to Chinese AI models. “This represents a standard and broadly accepted practice,” he stated.
White House officials have declared that “no conflicts of interest” exist regarding this partnership arrangement.
Cybersecurity and AI experts have raised concerns about potential security vulnerabilities associated with Chinese AI models, including possible surveillance by the Chinese government and the risk of ideologically filtered or censored responses. WorldClaw maintains that it implements privacy and security protocols, though the company acknowledges that user queries may be transmitted to the original model developers.
WorldRouter currently maintains a user base exceeding 10,000 individuals and handles more than 50 million computational requests on a daily basis.
