Bitcoin broke through the $64,000 threshold on Tuesday, registering gains exceeding 1% during the trading session. The leading cryptocurrency stood alone among major digital assets in posting significant upward movement as the broader market experienced downward pressure.

Ethereum declined by half a percentage point, settling just below the $1,900 mark. XRP experienced a more than 1% decrease to trade slightly under $1, extending its weekly losses beyond 2% and marking it as the poorest performer among major tokens.
Dogecoin retreated nearly 0.5% to reach 7 cents. Both BNB and Tron recorded modest declines, while Solana remained unchanged at approximately $76.
Among smaller-cap tokens, Hyperliquid’s HYPE emerged as a notable gainer, climbing almost 1% during the session and accumulating 7.5% gains over the past week.
Market analyst Alex Kuptsikevich from FxPro noted that Bitcoin has remained below its 50-day moving average for four consecutive sessions. He emphasized that bearish momentum dominates both intermediate and longer-term timeframes unless the price can decisively break beyond the $62,000 to $65,000 trading corridor.
Mining Industry Pivots Toward Artificial Intelligence
Bitcoin mining companies with public listings have reduced their aggregate computational capacity by 21% over the last three quarters. This strategic reallocation stems from unfavorable mining profitability and fierce competition with the AI industry for investment capital and power resources, as documented by Miner Weekly.
Venice, an artificial intelligence platform launched by cryptocurrency pioneer Erik Voorhees, announced it has surpassed $100 million in annualized revenue. The platform’s native VVV token responded with a 10% single-day rally, reaching approximately $13.30.
Equity Futures Decline on Middle East Crisis
United States stock index futures retreated during early Asian market hours on Tuesday. S&P 500 Futures declined 0.4%, Nasdaq 100 Futures dropped 0.8%, while Dow Jones Futures edged down 0.1%.

The overnight weakness followed a negative trading session across Wall Street. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500, and Nasdaq Composite each registered losses ranging from 0.3% to 0.5%.
Energy equities represented the sole advancing sector within the S&P 500, climbing 0.9% as crude oil prices jumped more than $2 per barrel.
Brent crude pushed above the $91 per barrel level. President Trump issued warnings of potential military strikes against Oman should it obstruct U.S. diplomatic efforts with Iran. Meanwhile, Iranian state media confirmed the detention of an oil tanker owned by UAE interests.
The surge in oil prices drove the 30-year Treasury yield to 5.31%, marking its highest point in approximately two decades.
Market participants are closely monitoring an active period of retail sector earnings announcements. Walmart, Home Depot, and Target are among the major retailers scheduled to release quarterly results this week.
Federal Reserve meeting minutes are slated for release on Wednesday. The central bank maintained its benchmark rate in the 3.50% to 3.75% range during its July policy meeting, though the decision revealed division among policymakers, with three members advocating for an interest rate increase.
Disappointing July retail sales figures and employment statistics have intensified concerns regarding the resilience of American consumer spending as earnings season approaches.
