The stock achieved a historic closing price of $240.26 on Aug. 11 and touched an intraday peak of $258.30.
The transactions were completed at share prices ranging from $234.07 to $238.065. This marked Hollar’s inaugural open-market transaction since August 2025 and represented just his second stock divestiture since assuming his role at Cardinal in 2020.
Hollar wasn’t acting in isolation. A coordinated surge of insider transactions rippled through the company’s leadership ranks on the identical date, driving aggregate sales to approximately $60 million.
Aaron Alt, the company’s Chief Financial Officer, disposed of 42,000 shares generating proceeds exceeding $9.9 million. Jessica Mayer, serving as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, sold 29,436 shares yielding nearly $7 million. Michelle Greene, the Chief Information Officer, parted with 11,650 shares valued at $2.7 million.

The divestiture activity followed Cardinal’s impressive Q4 financial report on Aug. 11 that significantly exceeded expectations. Revenue climbed 5.8% compared to the prior year, reaching $63.67 billion, although falling short of the $65.15 billion analyst projection.
Management also provided FY2027 EPS guidance ranging from $12.40 to $12.60, which contributed to the initial stock rally. Current analyst projections anticipate full-year EPS of $12.54.
Wall Street Maintains Optimistic Outlook
Notwithstanding the recent price decline and executive selling activity, investment analysts remain predominantly constructive on the stock. TD Cowen elevated its price objective to $280 while reaffirming a “buy” recommendation. Leerink Partners established a $292 price target. Royal Bank of Canada launched coverage with an “outperform” designation and a $276 objective.
JPMorgan increased its target from $215 to $260 while maintaining a “neutral” stance. Among analysts covering the stock, sixteen rate it a buy and three recommend holding. The consensus price target stands at $266.56.
CAH commenced Friday’s trading session at $229.48, retreating from its post-earnings peak. The 12-month low point is $145.87. The company announced a quarterly dividend distribution of $0.5158 per share, scheduled for payment on Oct. 15 to stockholders registered as of Oct. 1, yielding 0.9%.
