Shares of Jabil advanced 3.4% to reach $348.22 during Tuesday’s trading session following an upgrade by UBS analyst David Vogt, who elevated the stock from Neutral to Buy while reaffirming his $430 price objective. This target represents roughly 28% potential appreciation from present trading levels.
The positive rating change halted a brief two-session decline for JBL shares and positioned the stock among the strongest performers within the S&P 500 index, which itself declined 0.1% during the same trading day.
According to Vogt, the primary rationale behind the upgrade centers on a “multi-year expansion trajectory powered by artificial intelligence investments from Amazon, Meta, and Google.”
The investment bank increased its fiscal 2027 earnings per share projection to $16.78 from the previous $15.89, while also boosting its fiscal 2028 forecast to $20.24 from $18.34. Revenue projections for both fiscal years were enhanced by approximately 6%.
UBS anticipates AI-focused revenue will climb to $20.3 billion during fiscal 2027, representing a significant increase from $13.5 billion in fiscal 2026. This represents a minimum growth rate of 50%.
Both Amazon and Meta are projected to deliver approximately $1 billion each in additional revenue contributions. The firm expects Google will provide an extra growth catalyst as fiscal 2027 progresses.
Amazon occupies the central position in UBS’s investment thesis.
“Amazon, Jabil’s largest AI partner, plans to accelerate deployment of its Graviton CPUs and Trainium AI ASICs over the next several years,” Vogt stated in his research note.
Industry supply chain intelligence indicating stronger-than-anticipated demand patterns served as a critical factor supporting the enhanced financial projections.
Capacity Expansion Underpins Growth Trajectory
Manufacturing capacity additions at Jabil’s Memphis and North Carolina operations are positioned to accommodate increasing hyperscaler requirements. The recently finalized Hanley acquisition is also anticipated to deliver incremental revenue benefits.
UBS projects Jabil’s operating margin will expand to approximately 6% during fiscal 2027, representing an improvement from the estimated 5.8% in fiscal 2026.
The investment bank also identified healthcare as an additional growth avenue, with Jabil’s Croatia manufacturing site launching operations to address expanding demand. Strategic investments in automation and robotics technologies are expected to enhance both revenue growth and profit margins in the coming years.
Valuation Assessment
UBS modestly reduced its valuation multiple to approximately 22 times from 25 times, reflecting elevated capital expenditure requirements and broader market repricing across the AI infrastructure sector. Despite this adjustment, the firm preserved its $430 price objective.
Vogt contends the present valuation incorporates approximately 9.5% annualized EPS growth over a 10-year horizon, falling short of UBS’s internal projection of roughly 11%.
JBL shares have appreciated 54% year-to-date in 2026 and have climbed 53% over the trailing 12-month period.
Last June, Jabil enhanced its annual profit outlook to $12.70 per share from the prior $12.25 forecast, while also elevating revenue guidance to approximately $35 billion from $34 billion.
Company leadership attributed the improved guidance to superior-than-anticipated performance within its automotive division and connected living operations, combined with persistent momentum in AI infrastructure demand.
