BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust attracted $665.2 million in net capital on Monday. This represented the product’s most substantial single-day capital influx since October 7, 2025, based on figures compiled by SoSoValue.
The significant inflow contributed to driving U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds to approximately $527 million in aggregate net inflows throughout the trading session. Information from Farside Investors indicates this marked the category’s most robust performance since September 22, when these investment vehicles captured $714.7 million.
BlackRock’s product absorbed more capital than the combined net total across the entire ETF ecosystem. This occurred because competing products experienced capital withdrawals during the identical period.
Fidelity and Grayscale Products Experience Capital Flight
Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund experienced $83.6 million in redemptions on Monday. Grayscale Bitcoin Trust registered $54.9 million in outgoing capital. Remaining products showed neutral flow activity, based on Farside data.
Monday’s capital influx counteracted Friday’s $82.4 million in aggregate outflows. The positive movement also followed two consecutive weeks dominated by net redemptions.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs shed approximately $229 million during the preceding week. The week prior witnessed $681 million in departing capital.
On October 7, these funds registered $483.9 million in redemptions. That figure represented their most substantial daily withdrawal episode since June.
Despite Monday’s positive momentum, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs continue carrying roughly $88 million in negative territory for October, based on Farside’s daily tracking data.
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust debuted in January 2024. The product currently stands as the category’s largest spot Bitcoin ETF, commanding $66.37 billion in net assets under management.
Bitcoin Price Remains Confined Within Narrow Trading Band
The capital influx materialized while Bitcoin maintained a constrained trading pattern between $82,000 and $83,000. Concerns that additional interest rate increases might damage risk-oriented assets have pressured market sentiment.
“BlackRock’s inflows signal resilient institutional demand despite macro headwinds and bitcoin’s choppy price action,” Zeus Research analyst Dominick John told The Block. John further observed that “persistent resistance suggests ETF buying is being absorbed by selling pressure.”
Min Jung, associate researcher at Presto Research, indicated the precise catalyst behind the inflows remains ambiguous. Jung suggested investors might be establishing positions for a potential “catch-up trade” in Bitcoin.
Jung highlighted that unlike alternative risk assets trading near all-time peaks, Bitcoin has remained range-bound without crypto-specific positive developments. According to Jung’s assessment, this makes present price levels comparatively appealing.
Jung also indicated price volatility will probably persist as uncertainty surrounding the Federal Reserve’s interest rate determination continues influencing market psychology. A sustained breakthrough above the current trading range would necessitate more definitive economic indicators and enhanced risk appetite, Jung explained.
The Block’s crypto Fear & Greed Index currently registers at 59, positioned within the “greed” territory.
Spot Ethereum ETFs demonstrated weaker performance. These products recorded $103.3 million in net withdrawals on Monday, prolonging their negative flow sequence to four consecutive days.
BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust spearheaded those redemptions with $95.4 million. Ether funds shed approximately $320 million during the previous week, representing their third successive week of net capital departures.
Also on Monday, BlackRock submitted documentation for an additional Bitcoin fund. The proposed iShares Bitcoin Managed Protect ETF would deliver investors downside risk protection alongside upside participation linked to its flagship Bitcoin ETF.
