The semiconductor manufacturer exceeded Wall Street projections across all key metrics in its fiscal third-quarter report, propelling shares upward during Wednesday’s premarket session.
Analog Devices announced adjusted earnings of $3.45 per share, representing a significant jump from $2.05 in the same period last year and outpacing the Street’s $3.34 forecast. Top-line performance reached $4.02 billion, marking a 40% year-over-year expansion and comfortably exceeding the anticipated $3.92 billion.
Shares advanced approximately 2% to $384.39 in early premarket activity. This uptick comes on the heels of Tuesday’s 3.5% selloff, which affected AI-infrastructure stocks broadly.
The chipmaker’s shares have appreciated 39% since the start of 2026 and posted a remarkable 63% advance over the past year, driven by accelerating demand for analog chips across data centers, industrial automation, and consumer electronics markets.
Forward Outlook Exceeds Wall Street Projections
Looking ahead to fiscal Q4, Analog Devices provided adjusted earnings guidance ranging from $3.71 to $4.01 per share. This outlook significantly tops the Street’s consensus estimate of $3.54 to $3.55.
The company projected quarterly revenue between $4.2 billion and $4.4 billion, well above the $4.08 billion analyst community had anticipated.
Management expects adjusted operating margins to hover around 52% at the revenue guidance midpoint, with a variance of approximately 100 basis points in either direction.
The company’s third-quarter outperformance was primarily driven by robust performance across its Data Center and Industrial business units, both of which have emerged as critical growth engines.
Semiconductor Sector Shows Mixed Response
The positive ADI report didn’t uniformly boost semiconductor stocks. Early premarket trading revealed a divergent response across the sector.
Texas Instruments advanced 0.5% in early trading. ON Semiconductor registered marginal gains. Microchip Technology declined 0.5%.
These movements follow a challenging period for semiconductor equities this week, with multiple AI-focused companies experiencing pressure amid broader infrastructure-related concerns.
Analog Devices has successfully exceeded analyst benchmarks for both profitability and revenue metrics, while its forward-looking projections provide investors with enhanced visibility entering the final quarter of fiscal 2026.
At the midpoint, the company’s Q4 revenue target stands at $4.3 billion, representing a $220 million premium over Wall Street’s previous estimates.
