SU Group Holdings (SUGP) experienced a highly active trading day on September 15, with shares rising nearly 19% following the simultaneous disclosure of two strategic business agreements.
SU Group Holdings Limited Ordinary Shares, SUGP
The initial announcement detailed an exclusive distribution partnership with HDX for the TRACELINE PX3 Portable X-Ray System, granting coverage across Hong Kong and Macau territories. Market reaction pushed SUGP shares approximately 19% higher.
The TRACELINE PX3 represents a portable imaging solution designed specifically for explosive ordnance disposal operations, fire scene investigation, technical surveillance countermeasures, and industrial non-destructive testing applications. The technology employs pulsed x-ray methodology that reportedly reduces radiation exposure by over 70% when compared to traditional continuous-source alternatives.
With an IP54 environmental rating, the system integrates digital radiography capabilities with pulsed x-ray generation and advanced digital image processing functionality.
This partnership represents SU Group’s second major international distribution arrangement in 2026. The firm previously established a collaborative agreement with Germany-based GEZE during June 2026.
According to Dave Chan, Chairman and CEO, the partnership “further strengthens our comprehensive solutions portfolio with a dedicated platform to compete in industrial markets.”
Through the HDX partnership, SU Group establishes presence in the industrial inspection sector throughout Hong Kong and Macau, representing a market segment the organization had not previously addressed with dedicated solutions.
KM Safety Solution Purchase Agreement
On the same date, SU Group disclosed an additional strategic transaction. The company’s wholly owned entity, SU Group Investment Limited, entered into an agreement to purchase the complete ownership of KM Safety Solution Company Limited from Lead New Limited.
KM Safety Solution delivers safety consulting services and maintains distribution rights for intelligent emergency lighting control products throughout Hong Kong. These distribution rights operate under a 24-month contract that commenced on July 22, 2026.
The acquisition carries a valuation of HK$5.62 million, structured as an all-cash payment. The transaction requires completion of due diligence procedures and obtaining necessary regulatory clearances, with a closing deadline set for October 31, 2026. The company notes that completion cannot be assured.
According to SU Group, the acquisition strategy focuses on expanding its technology-enabled safety and security service portfolio while strengthening core security engineering competencies.
