Key Points
- Binance is terminating Binance Pool, Pool Savings, Cloud Mining and Transaction Accelerator services effective 07:00 UTC on November 10.
- Hardware miners need to migrate their equipment to alternative pools prior to the deadline, while Pool Savings participants must withdraw their positions.
- Since its April 2020 debut, Binance Pool grew to become the ninth-largest Bitcoin mining pool by late 2025, controlling approximately 2.3% of network hashrate.
- This decision arrives after Binance discontinued its NFT marketplace in July and introduced US equity trading for international clients in June.
- Pool dashboard access will remain available through November 24, after which all pages will be permanently removed.
Binance has confirmed it will discontinue its Bitcoin mining pool operations alongside multiple associated products beginning November 10. The cryptocurrency platform revealed the decision in an official statement released Tuesday.
The shutdown encompasses Binance Pool, Pool Savings, Cloud Mining and Transaction Accelerator services. Additional features including Telegram hashrate notifications, email alerts and the pool’s API infrastructure will cease operations simultaneously.
“As part of our ongoing review of products and services, Binance will discontinue Binance Pool and related services on 2026-11-10,” the company wrote.
Mining pools aggregate computational resources from multiple participants. They distribute cryptocurrency rewards proportionally based on each miner’s contributed computing power.
The Cloud Mining service enabled participants to purchase hashrate—essentially leasing mining capacity—without investing in physical equipment. Meanwhile, Transaction Accelerator provided a solution for expediting Bitcoin transactions delayed due to insufficient fees or network congestion.
Binance Pool debuted in April 2020. By the conclusion of 2025, it had climbed to ninth position among Bitcoin mining pools, operating approximately 26 exahashes per second—representing 2.3% of total network capacity—according to data from Hashrate Index.
That same analysis identified Binance Pool as the final survivor from an era when cryptocurrency exchanges aggressively entered the mining sector. The report noted the pool’s strategic value stemmed primarily from synergies with Binance’s core exchange and custody operations rather than mining infrastructure innovations.
Strategic Direction Toward Traditional Markets
This closure coincides with Binance’s strategic expansion into conventional financial services. Beginning June 1, the platform granted non-US customers access to over 7,000 American stocks and exchange-traded funds.
Co-CEO Richard Teng emphasized that these trades feature zero commission fees, with fractional share purchases available from just $5. The exchange additionally announced bStocks, an upcoming capability enabling users to create blockchain-based tokens representing their equity positions on the BNB blockchain.
Quantmap co-founder Ivan Patriki explained to Decrypt that major exchanges are diversifying into equities because they seek independence from cryptocurrency market volatility cycles.
Vytautas Mackonis, COO of RWA protocol ALCUM, highlighted the operational complexity behind this service. Binance functions as the customer-facing platform, while Nest Trading operates as the registered broker-dealer and Alpaca Securities handles custodial responsibilities.
Binance previously shuttered its centralized NFT marketplace on July 3. Users received instructions to transfer their digital collectibles to Binance Wallet, the company’s self-custodial solution.
Action Items for Current Users
Starting at 07:00 UTC on November 10, Binance Pool will begin terminating miner connections. The platform will simultaneously deactivate its Stratum URLs—the server endpoints miners utilize to connect with the pool.
Any mining shares submitted following that timestamp will receive no credit. Shares contributed before the cutoff will factor into final reward calculations.
Miners must reconfigure their hardware to connect with alternative pools ahead of the termination date. Pool Savings participants need to cancel subscriptions or withdraw their holdings before service termination.
Binance confirmed the pool will maintain normal operations until the shutdown time. Qualified rewards, outstanding balances and applicable refunds will be distributed following the closure, contingent upon product terms, account standing and regulatory compliance requirements.
Users anticipating final distributions have until 23:59 UTC on November 10 to complete any outstanding identity verification procedures. Binance Pool interface pages will remain accessible for viewing until 07:00 UTC on November 24, at which point they will be permanently deleted.
