Bitget has expanded its Stock+ platform with the introduction of US stock options trading, enabling qualified users to access options contracts alongside cryptocurrency, tokenized equities, foreign exchange, and additional financial instruments through a unified interface.
Stock+ Platform Enhancement Details
The crypto exchange rolled out long call and long put option positions as its initial offering. Long call options enable market participants to speculate on upward price movement in underlying stocks. Long put options provide opportunities to generate returns from declining prices or serve as protective hedges against potential losses in existing equity holdings.
For option purchasers, the maximum financial risk is restricted to the premium amount paid upfront for each options contract. Should market conditions move contrary to expectations, the option contract may reach expiration with no residual value.
Prior to this enhancement, Bitget’s Stock+ platform featured tokenized equity instruments and pre-initial public offering investment opportunities. The options trading addition equips market participants with expanded strategic capabilities for capitalizing on corporate earnings releases and market fluctuations.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen characterized the launch as a component of an extensive strategic vision. “From tokenized stocks to now options, we are executing on convergence,” she stated. “Our products are way ahead of its time in providing advanced trading access to stocks, gold, crypto, and worldwide assets.”
Expansion of the US Options Trading Sector
This development arrives following an exceptional performance year for options markets. Throughout 2025, the US options market facilitated trades exceeding 15.2 billion contracts, with daily trading volumes averaging approximately 60 million contracts per session.
This expansion has been propelled by participation from both retail traders and institutional market players utilizing options instruments for speculative positioning, risk mitigation, and comprehensive portfolio optimization.
Bitget represents just one of several cryptocurrency exchanges pursuing this convergence strategy. In June, Coinbase revealed intentions to broaden options trading capabilities encompassing both equities and digital assets, while simultaneously introducing thematic equity index instruments and pre-IPO perpetual contract products.
Binance similarly incorporated over 7,000 US-listed equities and exchange-traded funds for international users and announced development plans for tokenized equity instruments via its bStocks functionality.
Currently, Bitget’s options trading service encompasses single-leg strategy implementation exclusively. The exchange indicated that more complex multi-leg strategic approaches are scheduled for subsequent platform updates.
As an introductory incentive, qualified participants who execute their initial US stock options transaction may receive $15 in Nvidia equity, contingent upon availability.
The Stock+ platform now establishes Bitget among a select group of cryptocurrency exchanges delivering cryptocurrency, tokenized equities, options contracts, forex trading, market indices, commodities, and contracts for difference through a consolidated trading environment.
