Nvidia’s presence in the automotive sector received a significant endorsement on Tuesday. Chinese automaker Chery, along with its premium subsidiary EXEED, revealed a comprehensive global collaboration with Nvidia during Auto China 2026 and the EXEED International Business Summit held in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China.
NVDA shares were trading up 0.61% when the partnership was made public.
This strategic agreement encompasses three primary technology pillars: intelligent driving assistance infrastructure, AI-powered cabin systems, and robotics development. EXEED is positioned to become among the earliest automotive brands implementing these technologies on a commercial scale.
For autonomous driving capabilities, EXEED will construct its Level 3 and Level 4 vehicles using Nvidia’s DRIVE Hyperion architecture. This comprehensive platform integrates the DRIVE AGX Thor processing unit, a certified sensor array, and Nvidia’s self-driving software suite into one production-grade solution.
EXEED will additionally leverage Nvidia Alpamayo and Nvidia Cosmos development tools to create its proprietary autonomous vehicle software ecosystem. The automaker indicates this enables a hybrid strategy — combining internal development with collaborative innovation.
AI-Powered Cabin Experiences
For interior applications, EXEED intends to utilize Nvidia DRIVE technology to develop what it characterizes as advanced cockpit environments. The emphasis centers on generative AI capabilities: intuitive emotional engagement, situational understanding, and customized user experiences.
While this messaging aligns with current trends in the electric vehicle sector, EXEED is leveraging Nvidia’s established framework instead of creating proprietary solutions independently.
Expanding Beyond Automotive
The collaboration extends well beyond traditional vehicles. Via its EXEED×AiMOGA division, the manufacturer will employ Nvidia Jetson, Isaac Sim, and the Isaac GR00T humanoid robotics development suite to advance embodied artificial intelligence — spanning humanoid robots and additional intelligent robotic platforms.
Rishi Dhall, Vice President of Nvidia’s Automotive Division, stated that Chery is “accelerating the widespread adoption of intelligent vehicles” and noted the partnership will extend into robotics, describing it as “the next frontier of physical AI.”
Cherry positioned this agreement as fundamental to its comprehensive AI transformation strategy, citing objectives outlined during its 2026 AI Night presentation. EXEED serves as the flagship brand driving this initiative, functioning as the primary vehicle for Chery’s intelligent technology deployment.
Nvidia’s automotive segment has consistently expanded its partner ecosystem across international markets. The DRIVE Hyperion platform has emerged as a preferred foundational architecture for manufacturers pursuing advanced vehicle automation capabilities.
NVDA shares closed 0.61% higher on the day the strategic partnership was publicly announced.
