XRP Token Performance Lags Broader Crypto Market
Data from CryptoRank indicates XRP has surrendered 28.8% of its value in 2026. This follows an 11.6% decline recorded in the prior year.
The cryptocurrency posted gains of 82.5% in 2023 and a substantial 235.7% rally in 2024. During the current year, XRP tumbled from a peak of $2.40 to dip beneath $1 during August.
The broader cryptocurrency sector has similarly faced headwinds. Bitcoin dropped below the $60,000 threshold at one juncture this year after establishing a record near $126,000 in October 2025.
Bitcoin has subsequently rebounded above $80,000 but remains approximately 8% lower year-to-date. Ethereum has contracted roughly 20% while Solana has fallen about 17%.
As of October 29, XRP was changing hands near $1.29, representing a roughly 3% decrease over the preceding 24-hour period. The token has lost more than 50% of its value across the past twelve months.
Should current losses persist through year-end, XRP would record its steepest annual decline since dropping 59.2% in 2022. Additionally, it would mark the cryptocurrency’s first consecutive years of negative returns since the 2018-2019 stretch.
