Executive Chairman Highlights ETH/BTC Performance
Executive Chairman Tom Lee identified the improving ETH/BTC ratio as a primary driver behind both the sustained purchasing activity and the expanded share repurchase initiatives.
“We interpret the ascending ETH/BTC ratio, even amid diminishing prospects for the CLARITY Act’s passage in 2026, as evidence that cryptocurrency valuations are gaining momentum,” Lee stated.
The ETH/BTC ratio has climbed to a 3-month apex of 0.3000. Lee indicated this trend suggests continued upward pressure on ETH valuations.
ETH reached a 10-week peak on Monday. Lee identified $2,000 and $2,500 as critical technical milestones to monitor.
Ethereum has appreciated approximately 24% during the last month, substantially outperforming bitcoin’s 8% increase over the identical timeframe, based on CoinDesk market data.
Share Repurchase Activity
Bitmine accelerated its stock buyback initiative during the previous week, repurchasing 6.1 million shares. This represents an increase from the 5.5 million shares acquired in the week prior.
These repurchases operate under a $4 billion authorization framework. The organization has cumulatively bought back 11.6 million shares since program inception.
Lee emphasized that the enlarged buyback volume demonstrates management’s conviction in prevailing market conditions.
Tom DeMark, Bitmine’s technical advisor from DeMark Analytics, projects $2,000 and $2,500 as immediate ETH price objectives, drawing parallels between current ETH price dynamics and S&P 500 behavior following the October 1987 market period.
ETH currently maintains trading levels above $1,900, which Lee characterized as a psychologically significant benchmark.
