Ethereum has climbed to $2,375 following an impressive rally exceeding 18% over the past day, breaking through critical levels at $2,000, $2,100, and $2,200 before reaching an intraday peak of $2,318.66.

This upward momentum stemmed from a combination of significant whale movements, institutional ETF capital, and a decisive break from a prolonged consolidation phase.
On the 19th of August, spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds in the U.S. registered $189.15 million in net daily inflows — marking the strongest single-day performance in ten months. This institutional buying pressure preceded the dramatic 18% price spike.
BlackRock’s ETHA product dominated the inflow activity, capturing $122.12 million, representing approximately 58,240 ETH. Total cumulative net inflows for ETHA have now surpassed $11.85 billion, with net assets approaching $6.52 billion.
Fidelity’s FETH product brought in an additional $36.54 million, while Grayscale’s Ethereum ETF added $16.04 million during the same trading day.

Large holder activity intensified throughout the rally. Address 0x2d59 moved 30,000 ETH valued at approximately $67.42 million off Binance. This wallet has extracted a total of 120,000 ETH — valued around $237.7 million — from Binance across the last three weeks.

The amount of Ethereum held on centralized exchanges has declined by 15% over an 11-week span, dropping from 7.70 million on June 2 to 6.54 million by August 18, based on Santiment analytics.
One major holder initiated a 4x leveraged long trade of 20,000 ETH worth $45.38 million via Hyperliquid, currently holding an unrealized gain of $6.66 million.
Market Expert Perspectives
Crypto analyst Michael Van de Poppe highlighted ETH’s performance as representing a meaningful market transition, with the token hitting the 0.033 BTC ratio level. He suggested potential pullbacks could present accumulation opportunities as ETH advances toward stronger levels relative to Bitcoin.
Market commentator Ted (@TedPillows) described ETH’s latest price candle as “an absolute monster,” noting the upcoming resistance zone around $2,500. According to his analysis, successfully reclaiming that threshold would eliminate the risk of establishing a fresh low.
The Bull/Bear Power technical indicator registered its strongest annual reading at approximately 528. Meanwhile, large transaction volume surged from 2,690 to 6,910 within a single day — representing nearly a threefold expansion.
ETH initially signaled a potential bottom formation on June 6 after bouncing from $1,549, establishing a double bottom chart pattern with a neckline breakout above $1,800. The asset currently trades at $2,375.
