The platform also saw its stablecoin holdings expand to approximately $770 million, marking a 47% rise compared to the month before.
Daily Revenue Performance Exceeds Major Competitors
Data from DeFiLlama indicates that Robinhood Chain pulled in $2.66 million in application revenue during a 24-hour period. This figure positioned it above Hyperliquid’s $1.70 million and Ethereum‘s $1.28 million. Solana was the sole chain with higher revenue at $5.07 million.
A handful of protocols dominated this revenue generation. GMGN, operating as a Telegram-based trading bot, recorded the highest contribution at $803,000. Pons, a chain-native launchpad platform, brought in $632,000. Uniswap generated $235,000 following its fee implementation on Robinhood Chain that activated in late July.
Combined, these three applications represented approximately 88% of the chain’s total app revenue for that day.
Looking at monthly metrics provides different context. Hyperliquid’s 30-day app revenue totals $53.41 million, while Robinhood Chain accumulated $23.23 million during the same timeframe. The August 31 performance represents a short-term peak rather than a sustained trend.
The Real Source of Trading Activity
Robinhood Chain went live on July 1, 2026, functioning as an Ethereum Layer 2 network built using the Arbitrum Orbit framework. The platform’s official positioning has emphasized real-world assets, with tokenized equities as the primary focus.
However, actual trading volume tells a different story. GMGN and Pons primarily facilitate memecoin and token launch activity. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev recognized this reality in a July statement, noting that the chain “works great for memes too.”
July saw significant activity surrounding the CASHCAT memecoin. By August, trading patterns evolved toward utility and infrastructure tokens. PONS, serving as one of the chain’s primary launchpad platforms, experienced explosive growth from a $20 million valuation to exceeding $200 million within a single month.
Memecoin pairings with tokenized stocks currently represent about 25% of all stock-related trading volume on the platform. Artificial Inu, paired with tokenized Nvidia, stands as the most prominent example, expanding from a $1.5 million market cap at the start of August to hitting $135 million by August 30.
On August 31, the chain produced $495,000 in net gas fees after accounting for Ethereum Layer 1 expenses and Arbitrum program costs.
A significant constraint persists. Stock Tokens remain inaccessible to US-based users on Robinhood Chain, effectively blocking the platform’s primary user demographic from accessing its signature offering.
Competition in blockchain-based equity trading is intensifying. Coinbase’s Deribit platform introduced stock perpetuals in August, while Kraken deployed integrated US stock and xStocks trading across European markets, demonstrating rapid evolution in this sector.
Goldman Sachs maintains an optimistic outlook on Robinhood stock heading into the latter half of the year.
