Strategy’s executive chairman Michael Saylor has declared that Bitcoin has started a fresh bull market cycle. He expects the digital asset to climb back over the $100,000 milestone.
Saylor shared his perspective during a Bloomberg Television interview on October 13. At that moment, Bitcoin was hovering around $83,000, roughly 34% under its October 2025 all-time high.
According to Saylor, the bottom has already occurred. “We hit the bottom around slightly below $60,000,” he stated.
He observed that Bitcoin has bounced back to the $80,000 level. He expressed confidence that six-figure prices would return, though he offered no specific timeframe.
Bitcoin touched a high of $126,251 in October 2025. Following that peak, the market witnessed roughly $19 billion worth of liquidations, which applied significant pressure to leveraged traders.
The digital currency has hovered around $80,000 since the middle of August. This came after an extended decline from its record price.
Saylor cited multiple factors supporting his optimistic view. These include shifts in monetary policy, evolving regulatory frameworks, and increased participation from major institutional players.
He also anticipates Bitcoin will gain traction as traditional banks integrate it. He projected rising demand for digital credit offerings as financial institutions broaden their cryptocurrency services.
Strategy Continues Bitcoin Accumulation
Saylor indicated that Strategy will continue accumulating Bitcoin as market conditions improve. The corporation plans to issue additional securities to finance these acquisitions.
During the week spanning October 5 through October 11, Strategy acquired 250 Bitcoin for approximately $21.5 million. This transaction increased the company’s aggregate holdings to 848,250 Bitcoin.
In that same timeframe, Strategy repurchased $192.4 million worth of its preferred shares.
Saylor projected Bitcoin will appreciate 20% to 30% annually in the years ahead. This represents his personal long-term projection and does not constitute a guaranteed outcome for shareholders.
Strategy finances its activities through multiple channels. These encompass preferred equity, cash holdings, and common stock offerings.
MSCI Ruling Expected This Friday
Strategy is also confronting a potential modification to MSCI’s global equity index criteria. The proposed changes could exclude companies whose primary activity is holding assets instead of conducting operational business.
Saylor opposed the proposal and argued that Strategy deserves to maintain its operating company classification. He characterized MSCI’s stance as “a bad precedent for them and for the industry” and urged the index provider to reverse course.
JPMorgan has calculated that exclusion from the index might jeopardize approximately $2.8 billion in investment flows.
MSCI plans to reveal its determination on Friday. The ruling will determine whether Strategy continues to qualify for inclusion in global benchmark indexes and the passive funds that replicate them.
